German Choir Performance

To represent the roots of the German culture, hundreds of voices will unite in the grand arena of the Olympiastadion to perform in front of an audience of 70,000 people on the afternoon of the 2ndof July 2011. In this unique occasion, choirs from all over the world are invited to participate and be a member of this 3,000 member choir, representing inter-cultural dialogue through music.

African Drumming Beat for Peace

Let the ancient sounds and spirit of Africa pulse through you as you join the rhythmic beat of hundreds of people drumming together. Come together and drum to the beat of peace. No experience or musical talent is necessary, just a passion for bringing an end to violence. The drumming will be led by professionals from South Africa, who will take you on a drumming journey, which will last for 10 minutes.

Yoga Performance

Grand Yoga Performance during the main Celebration on 2nd July

1000 yoga teacher and practitioners of various ages and yoga schools will present the beauty and impact of yoga. Together they will perform the musically choreographed majestic Surya Namaskar (sun salutation).
