WCF German Choir Performance

To represent the roots of the German culture, hundreds of voices will unite in the grand arena of the Olympiastadion to perform in front of an audience of 70,000 people on the afternoon of the 2nd of July 2011. In this unique occasion, choirs from all over the world are invited to participate and be a member of this 3,000 member choir, representing inter-cultural dialogue through music.

Tentative songs to be performed are the wonderful but easily performed "Freude schöner Götterfunken".

This World Culture Festival concert is part of a world series of intercultural peace concerts, which began with the Brahmnaad concert in New Delhi, India in November 2008. This concert featured over 1,200 sitar players and entered the Guinness Book of World Records, followed by many other events such as Antarnaad choir in Pune, India which brought together over 2,700 Indian classical singers.
